The parking lot is conveniently located near a complex of buildings in downtown Milwaukee. This includes Wisconsin Center, a convention and exhibit center featuring 188,695 square feet of exhibit space and a 37,506-square-foot ballroom, UWMilwaukee Panther Arena, a major sports and entertainment venue that seats 12,700 people and offers 41,000 square feet of floor space, and the Milwaukee Theater. The parking lot is also near the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and The Shops of Grand Avenue. The NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks ownership announced in April 2015 designs for a new $500 million arena near its existing site, approximately one-half mile from 822 N. Old World 3rd St., that they hope will spur another $500 million in downtown development.
